The Simple Woman . . .

FOR TODAY, February 14, 2017

Outside my window...
It is dark and very cold, but the skies are clear and the moon is shining as brightly as a new penny!  Happy Valentines Day Everyone!💝

I am thinking ...
Glad to get yesterday over with and now Todd's radio therapy can go ahead.  They said he should get a letter within a couple of days.  He will probably start next week.   Also glad to get my diabetic eye screening done.  The technician said everything looked good, but again I should get a letter within a few weeks.  I was happy that I was able to get home again on the bus on my own steam.  It didn't seem to affect my eyes as badly as it did the last time.

In the kitchen ...

Chicken and Pancetta Baked Jacket Potatoes.  Scrumptious!  A great re-use of leftovers that tastes wonderful and doesn't break the bank!

On my "To Cook" list ...

Canneles from Eat Little Bird.   I love Canneles.  I tasted my first one in a town called St Emilion in France and it was gorgeous. I just need to find the moulds   . . .  which is probably the hard part!

Good to know ...

From Holistic Living.  Can't hurt to take note.

I am creating ...

From Jenni Designs.  This would go together really quickly.   I have a ton of yarn to use.  A free pattern.

Coul'Heure.  Complete tutorial to make these paper cases.  So lovely.  It is in French but fairly easy to follow.

The Classic Pin Cushion.  A complete Tutorial.  From Fibrelucious.

Gingermelon.  I love her work.   These are adorable. Free Pattern/Tutorial.

The Prudent Homemaker.  Felt Paper Dolls.  A free tutorial.  So cute!

I am reading ...
Still looking!  Help!!

I am looking forward to ...
Seeing Lura and John in April and Valerie and Steve in May!  So much to look forward to!

Dreaming about ...

Pretty spring coats  . . .

A bluebird welcome  . . .

Greengate china  . . .

Yes please  . . .

Perfect  . . . I love this.

Something to watch ...

Riverdale on Netflix.  It's Archie and Veronica as you have never seen them.  Quite good.  Intense.

A favourite quote for the day ...

A picture one for today  . . . coz its true.  You ARE gorgeous, inside and out!

Makes me smile ...

Did you know that no two noses are the same?   They are like our fingerprints.  All of those little nubbles on a dog's nose are in a distinct pattern.  And people say there is no God  . . .

One of my favourite things ...

Chocolate covered pretzels.   I love them.  It is the sweet salty thing.   Have you ever had a Pretzel Rod?  I had one in Ketchum Idaho and it was gorgeous.  You never see pretzels that big over here!  Wow!  This one was dipped in caramel and then chocolate and it was the best tasting thing ever!  To.  Die.  For.

Corners of my Kingdom ...

The Old Bridge at Sligachan, Isle of Skye, Inner Hebrides. Scotlan.  Tis on my bucket list  . . .

And that's my daybook for this week!

  8. I love your weekly DayBook entries; so fun! I am so happy that Todd can start his treatment. No fun, but will be so good to get over. I am grateful that your eyes are OK. I just went in for a puckering Macula and the eye doctor feel like it isn't bad enought to do surgery; which made me so happy. The food items look yummy. Thanks for the cancer warnings; I do look through them. The crochets look lovely. My favorite craft is the felt paper dolls; so cute. I loved paper dolls growing up. I love the china and decor. You always choose some awesome items and decor that I love too.
I do love how God's creations are so unique and individual. Cute photo of the dog nose; love our Sammy's cute nose.
Such a lovely photo of a corner of your kingdom.
    Loved it all! Big Hugs~
